Hi,
A little advice on this would be great...we have a chimney breast in the house that we have opened up, swept etc. We have found a suitable open fire to fit. Question is, do we need to have the work inspected by building regs (who seem suspiciously silent on the issue) or is there some sort of professional body who certify suitable fitters (i.e like CORGI for gas or Part P qualified for electrics?). Seems odd that it isn't obvoius who should fit/approve work like this, if anyone. Wouldn't want to void insurance!!!!!
