i have hade a structural survey conserning roof purlings causing sagging to roof i have been told that the roof requires high level and low level purlings fitting with 100mm props were load bearing walls are . would anybody know if the roof will need to come off to do this job and how much roughley would it all cost to do if the roof does not need to come off it will need about 60 meters of new purlins with around 8* 1.5 meter props to support them . thanks to anybody that can help much appreciated

It will depend upon how long the existing roof has been in its 'sagged' position.
The timbers may be permanently arched and will be reluctant to assume their original shape. However, it may be possible to prevent any further sagging and take up a little deflection.
Removing the tiles may be necessary, it will largely depend upon access. Presumably the purlins will be one piece?

The roof will not have to come off.
The purlins can be either put in in one piece - if not possible up the stairs, then you would take off a section of tiles near the eaves and thread them through.
Or they could be cut into sections and appropriately joined where the posts will be

BTW, was this a proper structural survey - ie has a definite problem been identified and do you really need these to stop the roof falling down?
