Chaps, first ever post, please bear with it !
Fitted a new garden tap, but the joint,which is threaded, leaks, not a lot, but enough to be annoying. I used PTFE tape. Is there anything better ?

loctite 55 thread cord. you can back it off a bit without it leaking so ideal to get your tap straight! |

Are you winding the PTFE around the thread the correct way? |

hold the tap in your left hand
use ptfe in your right
and use the ptfe so it tightends it self

Just check you have'nt overtightened the fitting and cracked the female part of the wallplate. |
