Hi, as soon as the weather gets a bit warmer I am painting the front of the house and going to smarten it up and with the alarm external bell box looking a bit tired I am going to replace it...it is working fine but I want to replace it with the ones that have a light to show that it is active ...not sure what it is called by I have seen them where the light at the bottom of the box appears to be moving from side to side, will this req extra cabling or can it be done with the wiring in situ

you shouldnt need any extra cabling as the `comfort` LED`s are fed via the module in the siren housing.

what panel do you have ?
what siren unit are you thinking of using ?

Oasis

accenta, easy enough to be honest.

go to security warehouse (online) and have a look, Texacom Oddysee ones are good, (thats what we use, and they look good and sound good)

have a look and then decide

Bodgeit: Just be aware that as you unscrew the alarm box securing screw it will set the alarm off. It is part of the tamperproof protection.

I only mention it because if you are not aware it may shock you leading to a fall from your ladder !

..I have probably been guilty in the past of coming on here and picking the brains of the experts and used it without even a thank you.........so thanks for all your help guys..... ;)
