Its confusing as "multi-purpose saw" has always been the reciprocating saws, and the one the OP meant was "multi-purpose tool", but this is not to be confused with the "mult-tool" pocket plier type things
Anyway, for £30 and a 3 year warranty that can't be bad. The blades do see to be Bosch fitting type
A few inches is all I need it for, thanks. Basically I just need to use it once in a while to cut a floorboard to inspect beneath it, or to cut the skirting on a bath panel so I can open it.
when you use it and its likely to be a one off and you suspect nails /plaster/brick or any other hard or abrasive material
cut to 2mm off full depth by packing the body away from the work with a bit off material the correct thickness cut the full width then use an old blade for the final cut or your original blade if you don't have an old one
this way it will last ages with 2 blades and iff its too damaged to finish you can finish the job with a knife/chisel/paint scraper just whatever you have thats thin and to hand
