Morning experts.

I have laid a concrete slab.

3 x 5 metres by 100mm deep.
I intend to build a wooden garage on it using;
47 x 75mm timber and togue and groove cladding.

The question is this;
The concrete went in yesterday morning at 08:00
The frames will be built up tomorrow.
How long beforew I can put the built up frames on the concrete slab?
Out local concrete 'expert says 7 days.

At least 7 days really as you want pretty much no moisture to be left in the concrete, else it may wick up your timber.

Or, could you use some sort of damp proof membrane between the concrete and the timber?

Concrete takes 7 days to reach 70% of designated strength
28 days to reach designated strength.
Providing you have not floated to much fat up to the surface and you are not wearing hob nailed boots or running spikes, then with respect to the slab you can walk and work on it next day..
