Trianco 15/19 hot water ?

Trianco 15/19 + Honeywell Y system

Not normally used hot water only setting.

But today selected this today and after one hour (boiler thermostat had been cutting in) the Amber /excess temp light came on, with sounds of kettling/ boiling water,

we now have tank of hot water there is a stat on cylinder.so pump working !

checking loft tank and it had been discharging hot water to this via vent pipe from boiler.

As there are no D phile available for this model I do have a new spare Teddington Type TBB BD/3/600

Didn't have problem in winter running C.H only.

Any help appreciated before going any further

The Teddington TBB Control stat is probably to blame, as you say the stat with the "D" profile phial are obsolete however
Anglian Heating Components at Wymondham did have some left on their shelves only a couple of months ago as I had to order a couple in for a job (and one as a spare for our shelves) hope that helps!

The only difference is the amount of travel on the thermostat dial, so you might find the dial indicator is no longer within the marked temperature scale, however once you have found where the dial needs to be to achieve your preferred temperature, you can simply mark the spot with a marker pen
