local marketplaces on Facebook,
I'm wondering if it is worthwhile notifying some of the calibration houses that your local wholesalers use so if it is sent to them they'll pick it up on the serial number.

I would totally notify all of the calibration houses, wholesalers, and even fluke. It's worth a try if you've got proof of purchase. Report it to the police ofc and get a crime number for when you ring round
