Last month I went with a friend, for moral support, to take a dog to the Blue Cross (her work schedule made it unfeasible to look after the dog any more). She was, in a word, upset, so we went for a cup of coffee afterwards, and in the moment I forgot to 'pay and display'.
So, being a shoulder on that day cost me £30.
I appealed to the local authority, but to no avail - those people really are NOT human.
