after bleeding radiators - pipes very hot - since then no hot water when switch is on "hot water" (hot water only when central heating & water switch is on)

Fair enough, that's the pump sorted, but on the pipes near it is something that controls the water going to the cylinder or to the radiators. There may be two valves. The valve is often (not always) the problem.
