BOILER LIGHTS UP FOR COUPLE OF MINTUES ONLY

Hi my boiler when heating and hot water is on lights up for a couple of mintues than off again.
the tank fills up from header tank when hot tap used
the water is hot but only because i have left the water in the tank untill the boiler has done its fire up and stop routine about 10 times
so dont think its thermostat but radiators do not get warm, they have been bled, cant hear the pump going though so could be that
anyone please

what boiler is it? theyre all different

its a potterton RS50 FLAMINIGO II

you say it manages to do hot water, but do any or all the radiators get hot? feel the pipework after the motorised valve if its warm/hot but no rads are then id agree that it will most likely be the pump and only a matter of time before it stops doing your hot water

Radiators are not getting hot at all.
The pipes after the value, and the pump it self is hot
