My cousin has just had a house built. There is a shiny new Vokera Unica boiler and TRV's on all rads except one of the bathrooms. There is no room stat. I thought these had to be fitted now, or does this not matter so much with condensing boilers. Just curious so I thought I'd ask.

If you live in England
For fully pumped systems the control system should provide time and temperature control to both the heating and hot water circuits and a boiler control interlock.
A roomstat is a boiler interlock.

If a roomstat is not fitted, then one should be fitted in a room without a TRV.

Check with the boiler manufacturers instructions

Also some boilers have flow switches (also boiler interlocks) that shut down the boiler when primary flow rates decrease .
