Do you mean the 'Air Gap' at the top of the waste?
It sounds like the flow capacity of your waste is less than the output of your pump. Do you mean is splashes out or flows out?
Did you have a dishwasher before? What happened then?
How high is the standing pipe, above the horizontal waste pipe? What size is the pipework, and what shape is the water-trap?
How long is the horizontal pipe before it joins the larger waste?
