A popular topic over the yrs seems to be which boiler do the Pros recommend.

Hoping to add some recommendations in the FAQs and be grateful for any assistance .

I'd like to rate boilers in 3 categories......

1) Top Rated

2) Decent boiler

3) troublesome.

Yours thoughts / votes please on Combis. :D

Any chance of similar for system, non combi boilers please ?

A reasonable amount of people don't need or want a combi, have unvented systems etc...or it is unsuitable because of hot water demands ....

I only ever use three boilers, which I recommend, they are
Viessmann Vitodens 200, Atag Q and Geminox THI

Other good boilers are Wolf, Rotex and Atmos

I do not fit any other boilers through my own choice, so it would be difficult to criticise other makes, the only one I do have a problem with is Worcester boilers as they do not have the capabilty of having an outside sensor which is an absolute must with a condensing boiler.

UUMMMmmm!!

Hard one this Bacho, as you will of read many a time we all have our prefered manufacturer, and model is matched to customers water and heating requirement, and taking into account water supply, gas, ect,

Anyway Ill put my neck on the line and name my choice of manufacturers,

Top rated:- Viessman, Worcester bosch (cdi's), Vaillant, Alpha

Decent (budget boilers):- Biasi, Ravenheat, Heatline.

Troublesome:- Again difficult to say as certain boilers have had bad press due to faults at point of manufacture, mainly supplied parts.
Others have a bad name due to poor installation.
So a boiler of £300 can be as good as a boiler five times the price, by the same token they can both be as bad as each other.

;)

OK chaps im in the stocks, start throwing your sponges   :D

Ravenheat have had a lot of probs on this site so I put them in the troublesome section.

Bear with me and see what all the others say. :D

jesus your stuck in 1990

Ahh a golden age of boilers nick

I am ever so sorry Bahco I would love to help you out but I reckon ALL new boilers are shyte

:)

Personally I find Worcestors RI a great boiler.

The Greenstar is a decent system boiler..but the COMBI is not so great.

Ideal's boilers (all of them) are rubbish and the Baxi Solo HE seems prone to condensate problems.

Forget the 90's..... gimme a boiler installed 25 years ago (at least) and Ill having it running like a swiss watch given half a day and a load of 'o' rings or gaskets. Why are engineers turning their backs on a bit of basic graft to repair these old work horses.

I bet you all love classic cars!

Dave

I dont like cars at all

:)

True the old vulcan Potty Dip

Ahh those were the days
