Glow worm Space saver MK2 ~ wont fire the main flame.

Hi, tried to start the boiler after the winter.
The pilot stays on no problem and has been on all summer.
We use electric hot tank during the summer.
I turned up the termostat on the boiler and the main room termostat but the boiler didnot fire up? I turned of the electric to the hot tank and emptied it ~ it still didnt fire up. Help... as I am not sure where to start.

Gas valve solnoid I should imagine, but whichever valve is fitted its a corgi job and an expensive gas valve!

You need to check that you have a 230V supply to the boiler when controls are set to heat on. If you have is there 230V to the gas valve?

Have you any zone valves on your system. If so check these out as well.
