Ceramic Tiles Half on Concrete half on Floorboard
Reply with quote Thanks

I have the problem of needing to lay ceramic tiles half of the tile on concrete half on floorboard (about 10 tiles in total). The levels are the same - would I need to do anything special or would just using a flexible adhesive like Ardu-Flex 7001 be ok? Many thanks.

Noseall, maybe you'd like to enlighten me as to where the answer is - bearing in mind that I'm not putting down any ply simply laying each tile half on concrete/half on floorboard.

The answer is about 12 questions below this one. And you cant lay tiles straight onto floorboards. You need to over ply or take up boards and lay thicker plywood boards etc. Have you read the sticky on tiling? It used be at the top of this forum. Guess its in the tiling forum now.
