problems unloosening radiator

i am trying to relocate my radiator and being that its so old, cant seem to budge it...does anyone have any tips....just to reassure i am going counter-clockwise with plumbing wrench

I assume you mean the valve tail?

Try tightening slightly first then undoing it, or try heating the tail with a blow torch to a high temperature.

To take the valves off my radiators (in the UK so could be different) I have to turn the nut clockwise looking fron the valve. i.e. The nut stays on the radiator after the pipe is disconnected.
