Installing Floor Tiles

I would like to tile my outside patio. It is approximately 400 square feet and I will purchase the tiles and materials.

Is it a good idea? Won't the tiles be slippery in the rain. I would stick to nice small paving stones with sanded surface. Go for the ones with vertical edges to minimise joints.
