Ignition switch on Homark gas hob

We inherited a Homark gas hob and the ignition has not worked in the 20 months we have lived here. As of last night, it started going off automatically every sec, and is driving me bonkers

Any suggestions as to how to get it to stop. Thank you, have just come across this site.

Switch it off, should be able to follow the cable back to where it's wired in.

I can't find where it is wired to. The electric oven is wired to the cooker switch and the fan is plugged into the socket
