Removal of a Tempus 7

I have a Tempus 7 fitted, I want to get it off the wall to check the wiring and see whether there is an out put signal if just the heating is switched on, how do you access??

My main problem is that the central heating will not come on, the boiler fires up and heats the water when the tempus switches the water on, but nothing happens if the central heating only is switched on. The room thermostat has been check and is functioning correctly

How you gonna check its sending power if you take it off the wall!

Check the motorised valve is working. It probably isnt.

*if you have power at the room stat (230v) then the clock is working.

Thanks Rob, I found the pesky screws hidden underneath and was able to remove the front of the Tempus 7. I put a shunt across the terminals to so not switching was involved, the water switched on fired up the boiler but the cental heating does not so timer eliminated. Where and what is the motorised valve??

There is something similar in the airing cupboard near to the pump, it is an ACL Lifestyle Mid Position Valve, one only

Might just be the valve motor which has failed. Test is with a multimeter. If you don't know how/aren't happy, then get someone in.
If the motor's ok:

If the head (plastic part) has a small black square button on the side you can pop the head off, see if the shaft on the brass part turns ok, and it it does, replace the head.

Otherwise, whole new valve.

if u open the overide switch on the end of the white box and unclip the cylinder stat off the tank u'll get heating when asking 4 hotwater until u fix it
