the glass is coated on the inner side with what one can describe as a metallic coating also known by the brand name of pilkington k or glaverbelle e by solar glass . its a hard coat glass which helps with the u value on sealed units and is normally needed for pvcu windows to comply with doc L building regs . I have tried to keep this post very basic and not get too technical hope this helps.
