Flocked Wallpaper for acoustic treatment
Reply with quote Thanks

Thursday, November 20, 2003

We are looking for a source of supply of heavily flocked wallpaper for use on the walls and ceiling of a meeting room to attenuate the noise level. Ideally, the only pattern would be vertical rows, similar to corduroy material, or all solid. The heavier the flocking, the better. As to color, the choice would be an off-white or neutral color which could be painted over with a flat ceiling paint.

The location is in Bozeman, Montana, USA, but we are willing to consider any source, worldwide, from a reputable seller or manufacturer.

Another solution would be to spray on the flocking using a water-based glue or binder in the flocking material. We are exploring wall carpet for the walls. If you have any other suggestions for sound attenuation for ceilings or walls, please let me know what, where and how much.

Regards,

Jim Miller
