I'm rewiring my kitchen and wondering if i can avoid having to instal a 6mm cable for my single oven. i also have on this ring main my combi boiler, fridge and freezer and an electric hob? what do you think?

mrspiers,you havent given us any information regarding the load of said oven or how you intend to run the cable,or anything for that matter.
might be a good idea to start your own thread instead of hijacking someone elses

Electric hobs are normally too large to go on a ring circuit.

And single ovens are normally too small to need a 6mm² cable.

MrSpiers - I'd advise you to do one of the following.

a) Read and learn a lot more, and put your plans to rewire the kitchen on hold until you know enough to do it safely.

b) Get an electrician.
