I'm about to install a concrete lintel 2.7m and just got it delivered yesterday. It is really heavy and I reckon it will take 6 guys to lift it. Any tips on how best to get it in to the opening which is approx 2.6 m high, without doing anyone an injury. I'm using strong boys to hold the wall so I will have clear access from one side of the room.

What size is this lintel?
3 should be enough (well english guys anyway )
Lift it up onto the trestles, then up and in.
Just make sure the lintel will fit first, as you don't want to be hanging around with it
