Security Light

Hi,

Is it possible to by sensor security lights that do not need connecting to the mains electricity?

I ask because I am not too confident about drilling through the exterior wall and connecting up.

I will want to install it onto my open porch.

Probably be sh*te though, might give enough light to not trip over your dustbin.

pecker1210, are you really going to get enough sun to charge the battery?
for the fun of it a year ago i brought some solar LED lights this time of year they stay on for about 2 minutes if that, there is just not enough bright sun to charge the battery.
On the other hand why not buy one and see if i am right (but remember a new light may have a charged battery)
