Hi - i need to drill into some ceramic tiles in the bathroom - do i need to use a ceramic drill bit? ( i seem to rememeber someone telling me you have to a few years ago...just thought i'd check!)

Put some masking tape where you're going to drill and it will stop the drill bit skidding off course.
Also turn off the hammer til you're through the tile
