i have just installed an electric hob using 6mm cable.could someone please tell me if the underside of the hob should be hot

nothing at all i,m just starting to think that the hob could be faulty,i,m sure that it,s not normal for the underside of the hob to be quite hot

how hot is hot? i would expect it to get to hot but not above a tempreature where you cant touch it

possibly. is it getting to a temptraature where it could burn any wood around it? try contacting somewhere that sells them, i.e. B&Q
