can some one help? we have the about 7 years old Gas-fired combi Boiler Powermax 155. it works okay, but It is always making humming noise when it's switched on,even though we don't use any hot water and cetral heating. The noise is gone when the electric is switched off.

when was it last serviced actually its important to get all gas appliances checked anually.use baxi/potterton fixed price repair service.

And ensure the burner gaskets are replaced , they crumble if they are the old style and do not seal up again without the new style gasket. They make loads of humming........ pumps, fan, gas valve, boards now and again even loose bits of casing.
