Hey,

Would having a 240v Socket on an old Cooker Circuit cause any issues? I noticed that there was a fuse switch on and Marked 'Cooker' (There used to be ab electric cooker but was replaced with a gas one) and when I turned it off I noticed that one of the sockets in the back room went off. There's a stereo and a light fitted to it but that's all.

Thanks

it would depend on the cable they used, and the size of the fuse.
if they downgraded the fuse to a 20A and used 2.5mm² cable then yes..
