My 15/30 Apollo Fanfare boiler has intermittent problems firing up.

It seems to be cos the fan wont work/ is stuck.

I have removed the housing, cleaned and lubricated the fan but it still works intermittently.

Does the fan need changed or is there a pcb that needs changed or is there a simpler cleaning/lubricating solution ?

It is driving me nuts.

The Motor fitted to these fans is a "shaded pole" type, they seldom can be fixed by lubrication so replacement is the best option about £100 for vthe part

Cheers for the info although £100 repair is not what I wanted to hear.

Can you please tell me the exact description of the part you think I require ?

Fan Assembly - quote boiler make model & G.C. No. Sorry don't know the part number.

You can buy just the motor, but by the time you have cut your fingers and broken the blower wheel at just ain't worth it

Good Luck
