I have just moved into an old house and the pipes feeding all the sanitory ware in the bathroom are lead.....is this danerous and does it need to be replaced.

Its usual for an unmodenised house!
Its no immediate concern but I would advise that you should plan to have the pipes replaced whenever its convenient and you can afford it.
Whatever you do do NOT do decorations which will be spoilt later when replacing lead pipes. Otherwise you will just keep putting it off!
