Noisy Vokera Boiler

I have a Vokera Linea 24 boiler over the last 4 stays it has started to make a noise. It is quite scary as it is really loud and I am reluctant to turn the heating or hot water on. Is there any danger in this noise or is it quite common. It is not going to blow up is it?

Thanks for your reply but last night when I was running a bath it was still making a noise and the carbon Monoxide detector started to go off and it really smelt of gas. So I ran Transco and they came out made it safe. I called British Gas this morning and he is here now. He thinks it is the flue.
