Prima LPR600 Dishwasher Pump Problem

My Prima LPR 600 dishwasher fills and heats up ok and drains ok but does not circulate the water via the spray arms to rinse or wash the dishes. On removing the pump and extracting the the impellor from the motor , the impellor seems to spin on the shaft, which does'nt seem right. Is this fiaxable or do I need to buy a whole new pump?

Does the circulation pump motor run and not circulate the water?

The pump is running because you can hear it but it's not circulating the water. Also when it runs to try and spray the dishes it is very noisy, as if the something is rattling inside the pump. When the dishwasher empties it is a normal pump sound and it empties OK, but I wonder if it is a different pump that empties the dishwasher.
