I have had to remove a radiator and have turned off both valves so when turning the water back on everything should be great.

But I would like to know if there is a quicker way to determine which direction the water is flowing in and out of other than ripping up the floorboards and taking a look?

Can you help?

connect the valves together with a pipe/hose, turn valves on, feel pipes.
