Hi all, an elderly relative had the above boiler fitted a couple of months ago. All was fine until Saturday night when it went off and will not switch back on again for HW or CH.
The LCD panel is showing F2 which I believe is a flame failure fault. She is going to try and phone them this morning to get them out, as she is obviously in need of both CH and HW is there anything she can do herself in the meantime to try and get it up and running in case they cannot come out today.
I have got her to shut the system down and try restarting from scratch but the F2 still persists.
Anything else I can advise her to try to try and get it going?
Thanks for any help.

Update: It seems the fault code is actually F1 which is a low water pressure issue but she cannot see any gauges on the system so cannot confirm the pressure is low. Guess it's looking like a long trek over there if she can't get anyone out.

I think that the pressure guage can be seen but its underneath so ask her to look there!

Its not a boiler fault and I have yet to hear of any fault on this model yet.

Thanks for the reply, she says she cannot see a gauge at all anywhere on the pipework, even underneath, although I guess there must be one there somewhere. To be fair even if she could see it and it indicated low she couldn't do anything about it. She'll have to stay cold and smelly until I get there later.

Tis the time of year for frozen condense pipes.

If F2 is a flame failure code, then this could be the problem.

F -2 is like the L-F code on an isar/icos

Check Condense as above.

Make sure they have Gas :)

Failing that it can be quite a few things as all it tells you is that it has tried to light 3 times and has failed so it can point to a number of things.

Folks the OP modified his post to say its actually an F1.

Just possibly the pressure gauge is inside the flap after removing the front panel.

But I cannot imagine its that stupid and expect that it can be seen when looking upwards from under the boiler.

The pressure gauge is on the bottom of the boiler underneath on the left pipe on the left hand side where the installer "obviously" showed them when demonstrating how to top up the system and where the filling valves are and how to use them.

I bet any money it either wants topping up or the condense pipe is fitted incorrectly and frozen.

This is the problem with "all" modern boilers and old people, they cant or "wont" in a lot of cases learn the basics, something legislators and designers just wont get into their autistic heads, the times I have this with "any" boiler "oh I cant do that, my hand/arm/brain/dick ad nauseum is arthritic, ok I will drive for 20 minutes to spend 2 minutes topping up your system, or 2 seconds turning the stat up, it will be £65.00, oh your ripping me off.
You know what, I don't see any suit and tie who designed and came up with this garbage going out free of charge.

Or is it a shirtfront installation which robbed me of a job where they chucked it in in 6.5 hours, then ran off without showing them how to use it, seen that so many times, then I'm expected to spend 20 minutes doing it for free after re-washering the toilet ballvalve for £25.00.
