Hi - When putting on a wash with some fabric conditioner, it seems to take the fabric cond into the wash okay but when the wash is finished the fabric cond section of the drawer is filled with water. Does anyone have any ideas why?? Thanks.
if you think of it logicly this is correct .
the conditioner is required at the end of the cycle if it wasnt contained in a reservouir it would leak out and there would be none left
the way it works is when the conditioner is required a valve or mecanism directs the water to flush out the conditioner and leaves it full of water
Sort of! Wouldn't normally expect the compartment to remain full of water though - probably needs a quick clean of the siphon tube to sort the problem fully. Expect the black goo is breeding somewhere!!
Thanks - yes it should take water in but the tray is full to the top with water when the wash is finished - this is only starting to happen now after 2 years. Where is that pipe you mentioned to clean - thanks, Dellers.
On most machines the fabric conditioner compartment has a sort of vertical pipe moulded into it with a sort of hat that clips over it. This is a syphon device which should empty the compartment of water after use. Often the vertical pipe or the hat bit get choked with solidified conditioner.
