Hey!

I need to rotate the toilet 'branch' on a soilstack by 90 degrees.

I've done it before ok, by popping a length of pipe in and using leverage. But this one seems not to want to move. I'm guessing it's 40 years old now, maybe.

Anyways... is there a lubricant I could pour around the connections to try and break the seal between the rubber & plastic? Maybe washing-up liquid?

Ta!

well u got to make sure its not solvent welded for a start and fairy liquid rots the seals you can use silicone grease but its doubtfull it will penetrate into the jointwithout any movement

Hmmm!

1 of those rubbers which doesn't like washing-up liquid, eh?

Silicone grease, though useful stuff, is nowhere near fluid enough to penetrate....

I may just have some liquid silicone still - time to turn the garage upside down again I think!

Thanks for the input!

WD40 might do the trick and it's not damaging to the rubber. ;)
