indesit washing machine not working help!

hi my indesit washing machine is two years and 3 months old, when i turn it on it fills up ok but the drum will not turn around fully and it makes a loud noise but when i turn the machine off and open it the drum will turn easy, it drains ok its just the drum that seems to be a problem, when i put it on and the drum keeps trying to turn i can get a burning sort of smell but there is no smoke,can anyone please tell me if my machine can be fixed, i feel i dont have this machine long enough to have to replace it already.

Check the brushes.
