Hi all i'm looking to fit a shower soon and am trying to decide which type.

I have a condensing boiler but have just read on another thread that some are condensing- combi boilers.. I thought they were 2 different things!.

How can I tell if mine is a combi so i can make the right decision on a shower?

Many Thanks
Obviously from a complete plumbing novice

(Btw my boiler is a Vaillant Ecotec fitted in the loft with a hw storage tank below in the bathroom)

Condensing or not is totally irrelevant; the only point that counts is whether your dhw is gravity fed or mains.

If the hot water cylinder is supplied from a tank in the loft then your shower valve needs to be suitable for a gravity fed system unless you are considering having a pump fitted.
