HI am new to the Forum so hope I'm in the right place. We are looking to convert a single garage with flat roof, to a an additional rooom and a pitched roof with sky light.
One, is anyone have a ball park figure for this. The garage is only one brick thick so would need additional skin, we'd need all the usual insulation and ventilation etc, change the door to a wall and small window and take out the opposite end wall to replace with glass doors, we would do all painting and finishing ourselves.

Also how big a job is the changing of the roof. Any tips etc much appreciated.

Also if we were to want to extend above the garage at a later date, what work would be needed to the existing foundations of the converted garage in the future, to support the load? Thanks

we've had quotes to put a tiled pitched roof on our garage and they're all around £4500. 8m x 2.6m
