hi trying to remove from 1.9d van.how do you relase the tension from belt .i think i have found the wheel that is the tension but how to move i havent a clue any help would be great thanks pete

Let us know what year chap and whether its hdi or the old xud engine?

The tensioner is probably spring loaded, put a fairly long ring spanner or socket on the nut that holds the tensioner wheel and turn it . the whole wheel should move and release the tension on the belt.
