Sorry for all the questions tonight people :(

We currently have a pump on our Bristan bar valve shower due to our old gravity system.

As we are getting our combi fitted tomorrow will the pump still be needed? Can it still be used??

Cheers!

If your hot water cylinder is going, then you won't need a pump. Your shower would be fed from cold mains and the DHW supplied from the combi.

(Until someone else opens a hot tap, then your shower will be supplied by cold mains and SFA hot water, unless it's a powerful combi.)

Thanks,

I've gone for a 35kw combi so I'm hoping powerful enough!

So I can just get the plumber to rip it out then and it will be just as powerful?

35Kw sould give you in the region of 12-13 l/min so should be enough. The plumber will need to take the shower pump out as they are not designed for mains systems and could blow the seals.
