Where can I find out how to do it, any websites? Or is it really better to get someone in (not easy!). I'm competent with a screwdriver, but have never done or indeed watched any plumbing work.
Thanks in advance!

hmmm... i think you need to understand the difference between electrical and pluming work before you do anything else

i'd probs try and get a plumber in, those pressure relief devices need to be properly done, as u know, they r designed to open in an emergency to prevent rise of pressure, if it doesnt work, god knows what would happen

They are a complete P-O-P to install - takes a few minutes.

Don't forget to isolate the shower electrical supply before removing the cover.

Why did it operate, BTW -have you fixed whatever caused it?

Also, they are dirt cheap - buy 2 replacements and leave one inside the shower case, that way if it happens again you'll have a spare you can install straight away.
