I have removed the fluorescent light in the bathroom and found three sets of cables:

The Switch cable - two reds and one yellow/green
Cable 2 - red, black, yellow/green
Cable 3 - red, yellow with red PVC, yellow/green, Blue with black PVC.

The new spot light I want to install only has blue, brown and earth

How should they be connected, please help

you should have checked before disconnecting but here is the most likely correct wiring

brown from the light to one of the reds from the switch cable and the yellow

other 3 reds together but not to the light

blue from the light to the black and blue wires

all green/yellow to the earth on the light

Thanks but that did not work!

I have found out that by attaching the red wire from the switch cable and the red wire from the main cable, the light comes on. But it will not switched off.

Please help!

Use your multimeter to find the permanent live and switched live, then connect them to the correct terminals.
