Is it possible to run two kitchen appliances from one FCU? In this case a washing maching and a drying cabinet (1). If not, is an FCU available with one feed and two outlets?(2)

Yes you can supply both as long as the combined load is not more than 13Amps.

The only problem you might have is securing the cables in the FCU

To save time and mess chanelling out the wall or is that bad reason?

Ok convinced, I'll use two separate FCU's. I need to cut into and redirect a cable. Obviously you can't have diagonals in the cable run but is it ok to run the cable both horizontally and vertically down and across the wall on the same run?

Provided it changes direction at an accessory, rather than does some random dogleg pattern...

What if the wiring is behind cupboards? Do I need to put a plated junction box in?
