stain on ceramic tiles

The sparks while welding an iron staircase rail fell on the stairs ceramic tiles and burn some parts of the tiles. Is there any way to repair the tiles?

I realise this is an old posting but I was just wondering if anyone had an answer to this as I have the same problem.
