I live in a 3 year old home and there is one spot in the kitchen that is subject to cold air..how do I track down the source and fix it..My windows are tight and curtained and the outside door is tight..where does the cold air come from??

Get a smoke match or pellet, and light it inside a tin with a small hole in it for the smoke to come out then find out which direction the draught originates, It may be a ventilator which you need to have. Secondly, stop thinking of it as a draught and think of it as distributed ventilation. Lack of ventilation will give you more problems than you need.

A stick of incense will often drift the way the draught is going.

You can even walk around with it holding it next to outside doors etc.

:) It helps if you chant while you're doing it!

I usually get my 'bell' out. I'm a swinger at heart.

You can also use this technique to locate faulty flow switches and illegal immigrants!

Yet another pointless post from Softus.

Sorry joe - I just read your post and mistakenly thought that pointless was the theme of this topic.
