Hot water problem

Hi there, Just moved in a new flat and have a Britony C&M boiler. Thing is when the ch and the hot water is selected the rads get hot fine but no hot water. To get hot water i have to go back to the boiler and select Hot water only option, then hot water comes out instantly. Any ideas of the problem???
