My Central Heating system has been fitted many years, it has been insulated by using some sort of hessian wrap...would it be a good idea to take all this off and use foam insulation instead?
Cheers..

I wouldn't take it off, but would do no harm at all to add more over the top, you might need to use the next size up to get a good fit.

Hair felt lagging is still used today, but replacing yours would do no harm. Has it frozen in the past?

Just your standard celafelt/denso type lagging.

Personal choice really, if my house, i would Climaflex it all.

that stuff has as much insulation value as a plastic mac . Definitely go over it as said ;) The old style hair felt was almost 1/4 inch thick
