Hi,

Hope someone can help. I had a problem with my central heating a few days ago. The was a loud banging and grinding noise which I eventually found to coming from the pump. I turned this off (thought I\\\'d try that first!) then back on but the noise returned. I tried again but the noise returned. After a third time, nothing! If I then tried to turn on my heating there is a LOUD banging noise which carries on for a minute or so after I turn it off again. The question is, is it easy enough to change the pump and could I have damaged anything else by turning it on and off and putting the heating on?

Hope you can help.

Cheers

Easy to change- not necessarily! nuts tight, valves can leak. Damage - very unllikely.
